Honored for Academic Excellence and Leadership

Lane College proudly celebrates Dr. Kai Horn El-Amin, Assistant Professor of Religion, for her remarkable academic achievement and continued commitment to scholarship and leadership. Dr. Horn El-Amin has earned her second Master of Arts degree through the Islamic Studies Leadership Cohort at the Bayan Islamic Graduate School at Chicago Theological Seminary. Her thesis reflects both scholarly excellence and a deep engagement with leadership in the Islamic tradition. Building on this work, Dr. Horn El-Amin has recently been accepted to the Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership, where she will continue advancing the critical insights of her research. Dr. Horn El-Amin represents the very best of Lane College—leading with purpose, academic rigor, and a spirit of service. We are proud to call her one of our own.
